The Art of Wellness: Visual Arts and Health short course is completely free. The other 7 in the Arts and Health suite cost $20 AUD each

No, you are able to pick and choose which short courses you would like to study, in any order, based on your own interests. Feel free to enrol in one or all of them. Students that complete all 8 courses in the Arts and Health suite will receive a free personalised Certificate of Participation.

No, you are able to choose which order you study the short courses in, however each has its own release date.

Each short course will open on the specified dates below and will close late in 2017.

Will the short courses be offered again if I can’t enrol this time?

Will the short courses be offered again if I can’t enrol this time?

Yes. Currently all short courses are open to enrolments but enrolments will close late in 2017. After this time you will be able to express interest in the next offering and we will contact you when enrolments are again open.

Yes, all of the short course content is online, however the practical hands-on activities will likely need to completed off-line.

No, you do not need any prior level of knowledge, and we hope to provide useful information to people at a range of educational levels. As they are fully online, basic computer skills are required to complete the short courses. You will also need an email address to enroll.

There are no exams or assignments.

Unfortunately, there are no extensions or late access options possible.

No… places are unlimited! Please invite your interested friends, family and colleagues to study alongside you.

It is anticipated that each short course will take 5-6 hours to complete. Students that would like to try every activity or engage with addition resources may take longer to complete a course.

You can expect it to take three working days to get a response.

If you do not receive a response, there are a number of reasons why we may not have been able to get an email through to you:

  • The email address we have recorded for you is incorrect.
  • Your email inbox was full or the email address provided was unavailable at the time of transmission.
  • The spam/junk mail filter settings used by your email program or ISP prevented the delivery of the email.
  • Temporary technical issues.

No. There is no live or real-time material, so you can log on at any time within the time frame of the short courses. Therefore, you can complete the short courses regardless of which time zone you are in or the time of day you wish to dedicate to your learning.

You will receive a full refund if you meet the following conditions:

  • Cancellations must be advised in writing at least 5 days prior to the particular Short Course commencing
  • A refund will not be granted to any registrant who cancels within the four days prior to the commencement of the short course. Registrants who have not cancelled before this deadline, including those who do not log in to the short course will not be granted a refund.
  • Cancellations due to illness, supported by a medical certificate, will be refunded in full.

Yes, if you complete all 8 short courses you will receive a free certificate of completion/participation. Once you have completed the 8 short courses, please email us at digital.team@utas.edu.au with your name and email address and we will send you your personalised certificate. Please note that this is an electronic certificate.

Australian domestic* students may also wish to gain University recognition for the work that you have completed in the short courses by enrolling in the fully-online Foundations of Arts and Health unit within the Associate Degree in Health and Community Care, at the University of Tasmania.

*Domestic students include Australian citizens or students holding Permanent Humanitarian Visas or with Permanent Resident Status. Citizens of countries outside of Australia, including New Zealand, are not eligible to study this unit.
